I was glad to be invited as a Lead Trainer in the Cultural Management Program – an initiative of Africalia to improve capacities of 20 successful young culture and arts professionals from Rwanda with a series of online sessions, held in the last few months. This ambitious program intends to significantly improve the professional capacities of Rwandan cultural organizations. My interactive online classes were on actual topics such as: creative entrepreneurship, digital dimensions and strategic management in the cultural sector. The participants were exceptionally motivated, engaged and eager to learn and implement theories in their cultural practices.
As an organization dedicated to culture and creativity, Africalia places creators and artists at the heart of its action. Committed to upholding their specific rights to pursue creative professions, the organization contributes to the protection of their professional, moral and physical integrity in all countries in which it operates.
