The project “IN SITU: Place-based innovation of cultural and creative industries in non-urban areas”, elaborated by a consortium of 13 European organizations, including NATFA “Kr. Sarafov”, won the competition under the program HORIZON-CL2-2021-HERITAGE- 01-03 of the European Commission!

The project includes research and experimental actions to develop innovative practices, building capacity and releasing the potential of cultural and creative industries. It aims to improve the forms, processes and management of innovation and to support the competitiveness of creative organizations in the remote non-urban areas of Europe. The project will provide in-depth knowledge of direct and indirect effects, cross-sectoral links, innovative strategies and systems in the creative and cultural industries, as well as policies and frameworks for local planning of innovative creative activities.

The project will last for 48 months. The lead organisation is the Center for Social Research at the University of Coimbra, Portugal.
