The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) welcomes the political agreement reached between the European Parliament and EU Member States on its legal basis and its new Strategic Innovation Agenda 2021 – 2027. The EIT’s new strategy presents the creation of a new EIT Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) in the Cultural & Creative Sectors and Industries. This will create new opportunities for entrepreneurial education, innovation, business creation and acceleration to power Europe’s next generation.
I have the pleasure to moderate the online webinar on 21 April 2021 – the World Creativity & Innovation Day. During the seminarq participants will hear about the EIT’s innovation approach from speakers, such as: Manuel Heitor, Portuguese Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Eva Kaili, Member of the European Parliament, Viviane Hoffmann, Deputy Director-General of DG EAC, European Commission, Catherine Magnan, Head of Unit Cultural Policy, European Commission, and Martin Kern, EIT Director. The main milestones for the EIT’s Call for Proposals will also be presented, as well as discussions on how to prepare for the upcoming call. Read the detailed agenda here. Participants will be able to interact with speakers in the form of Q&A and polls.
