SEAS, Istanbul, 2009
Black/North SEAS was a major European platform for intersecting Arts with other sectors of society. The primary focus was the creation and distribution of interdisciplinary artworks on a transnational basis. Cultural operators, artists, public officials and scientists were connected in a four year long multi-lateral cooperation stretching from the North Sea to the Black Sea.
Part of the objectives for Istanbul 2010 was to invigorate cultural activity throughout the city and encourage international exchange between international and Turkish artists and arts organisations. SEAS fitted this agenda well. Read more here: http://www.seas.se/event/seas-istanbul/
